Meta Tags are some information which is not visible to the visitors and is written in the head area of web pages. This is to provide small but important information to the search engine spiders which used to visit your web site time to time to collect information from your web site. If you use the Meta tags in proper way you will get good position in the search result for your key words and it will result in providing you good number of visitors from the organic search. Before you are going to submit or add your web site URL to directories and search engines double check that the meta tags meet the recommended definitions. If the are bigger than the recommended size some search engines will not accept your URL submission.

Another important thing is "Title" of your web site. Plan, check and decide your title perfectly before you add your URL to directories and search engines. Owner's email address:
Copyright and Copyright holder's name and year.
Author's name:
Expiration Date, date when your listing may be deleted from the engines.
Language of your site in which it is written in.
Search Engine Robots. (You must decide what to do.)
index = search engine robots can include this page in search engines.
follow = search engine robots can follow page links to find other pages.
index&follow don't follow (nofollow) don't index (noindex)
Revisit Interval: 7 days 30 days 180 days or 360 days (You can give a time period which may suite you.)
